Eastern Greene Schools, known for their commitment to helping students “use their minds well” and fostering personal growth, faced a critical decision when their cooperative dissolved. Challenges Before Go Solutions

Before independently partnering with Go Solutions, Eastern Greene Schools did not have a Medicaid billing system in place. Previously part of a special education cooperative, the school depended on the cooperative to manage these services. The cooperative at the time was utilizing GoClaim. 

However, when the cooperative dissolved, Eastern Greene was left with the task of managing Medicaid reimbursements on its own. Making the decision to bill or not and if so who would be their biller. This led to the need for a reliable, user-friendly solution that could simplify the complex process of Medicaid billing and allow them to optimize reimbursements for their students’ services.

After the initial training, Eastern Greene Schools fully integrated GoClaim into their workflow. The process for billing Medicaid services includes:

  1. Referral generation: Therapists generate referrals for evaluations through their IEP program.
  2. Referral approval: Lindsey, who is a licensed school psychologist, signs off on the referrals.
  3. Parent consent management: As part of the IEP development process, parents are sent Medicaid billing consent forms, which are tracked and entered into GoClaim.
  4. Service documentation: Therapists document the direct services provided to students within GoClaim, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
