Municipal Management System
The Tailored Business Systems Municipal Management System is designed
to meet the unique requirements of medium-sized, local governments.
It is an integrated system, as applications share information among
themselves, which eliminates duplicate posting of data, reduces
errors, and provides faster, more accurate information.
Applications
- Accounts Payable processes manual
and computer-generated checks, and automatically transfers the
expenses to Financial Reporting.
- Accounts Receivable produces statements,
aged trial balances and daily transaction reports, and transfers
data to Financial Reporting.
- Fixed Assets tracks assets by category
and department, and accounts for property by location, value,
serial number, and useful life, with various reports available
to the user.
- Financial Encumbrancing encumbers
funds through the entry of purchase orders. The module works
in conjunction with the Accounts Payable module to create payables
when the orders are filled.
- Financial Reporting receives input
from other applications, then summarizes and reports it in the
form of financial statements and budget reports. This system
provides financial information, in detail and summary form, by
fund and department, and compares budgets to actual expenditures.
- Occupational Tax prints business (and
alcohol) licenses, and handles posting of payments and revenue
to Financial Reporting.
- Payroll is designed to meet the needs
of local governments, automatically calculates vacation and sick
leave earned, and accounts for the time taken. It also transfers
its information to Financial Reporting.
- TBS TimeClock
Plus™ Solutions
automate the management, collection, and distribution of employee
hours in REAL TIME, making conventional time and attendance systems
things of the past.
- Utility Billing handles billing for
metered services such as water, sewage, gas, and electricity
and non-metered services such as sanitation. It accounts for
deposits and transfers billing and receipts data to Financial
Reporting. A handheld interface is also available.

Publishing

of manually compiling paper and data into an Agenda Packet
is now made quicker and easier with LegisStream.
